2001 road king

a pals 2001 roadking is giving us fits .
when its keyd on the headlight taillight comes on and blows the fuse and them nothing . replaced multiple fuses and same ol thing , soon as the keys on it pops the headlight taillight fuse and wont start.
pretty vague i know , but im just lost as to whats going on , havent found any frayed wires or anything that shows a burnmark [other than the fuse itself] the strange thing is it ran fine until one night leaving a club when it started this crap !
any ideas on whats going on here ? all ideas appreceated and investigated

This is a couple days ago and you might have it figured out already but ... the lights fuse blowing shouldn't keep the engine from starting . Sounds more like the main breaker or the starter relay . Also check the wiring in the rear fender , disconnect the rear wiring connector under the seat to see if that stops the fuse from blowing .
