Unhappy Engine help!!

I have a 2004 Softail Night train, I have done alot to the bike but have some questions on finishing it. It has a 103" Screamin Eagle stroker flywheel, Andrews gear drive 550 lift cams, Wiseco 10.5-1 forged pistons and big bore kit, Arlen Ness big sucker k&n filter kit, Thunder header, Screamin Eagle Race tuner, Adjustable pushrods and high lift valve springs, It runs strong but did really crappy on the dyno. I do have stock heads on the bike. I also am having random starting problems, its done it to me two times, i will go to start it and it will click once for every time you hit the button, then you could go out later and it will fire right up. I am open to suggestions on both what i could do to finish the engine and get really good power and the starting problem. (I thought possible too much compression for starter so its about to go out???)

You might want to get a heavy duty starter and compression release with the 10.5 to 1. I would also get the heads ported and polished to make it flow better. That should take care of the starting part. If I was going to do the 103 kit on mine I would have got the heads ported and polished first. It will run much better if you do. Right now it is like a bottle next effect all that compression with nowhere to go. If you take a stock motor and port and polished the heads and add a stage1 ac and free flow pipes that bike would most likely give you a run for your money. When you get the heads worked on you will feel the difference big time. You allready have the cam so it is a sure thing to get the heads worked

PS: Go and introduce yourself in the new to the community or not many will help you here some don't mind as much as others. There is a lot of knowlegde here that will come in handy as you ride own down the road.

Headwork

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and introduced myself. I am new to forums but getting the hang of it. The HD dealer wants me to change my cams, pistons and buy all HD stuff, so thats why i came to forums to get a better opinion. There is not any place near here to get head work done, where would you recomend??

Your pistons sound a bit big to me ... 10.5 to one !!! With the gas martinis we get at the stations now !!!
S&S does good heads ! Jims Too ! Also Zippers ! Check out their web sites .
Of course you could also use the SE heads with no mods .
One more thing ... I wouldn't always be impressed with dyno numbers but more by the " seat of the pants feel " !!!

I was looking at Cycle Rama out of florida for head work but they are very pricey. The reason why i am worried about the dyno numbers is it was only showing 69HP with like 87 ft lbs torque which isnt much more than i had before the work but alot more headache. what about the coil and throttle body do they need to be changed out with the rest of the stuff??
