Need Help Oil Change

I decided I would start to do my own service on my 05 Heritage so today I changed the oil and filter. Used Mobile 1VT 20-50. I put in 3 quarts, ran it around the block and it's just at the full line or just abit over. I can't understand why. It should be just under full since it holds more than 3 quarts. The specks are 3.3 liters. If you convert 3 quarts to liters its under 3. What's up, should I run it longer. I even poured some oil in the filter before I installed it. A Harley mechanic told me it would help.

My Moco manual says 3 qts, or 2.8 liters.....

Go by the Owner's manual, and what the stick reads, when measured properly.

Ran the bike some more and it runs great. Much quieter. After 14K of syn3 I wish I would have changed sooner.

Don't worry about it. it's a dry sump system, so the residual oil in the crankcase means nothing. It's primarily in the oil tank.
