Cam Bearing Gone Case Scarred. Options?

Hi all,
I finally got to the inner cam bearings on my 2005 ultra last night. Found that one of them was all but missing. There was about 1/4 completly gone. After getting what was left out I noticed that he case had been scarred and wollerd out somewhat. I stuck a new bearing up there just to see what it would do and it goes about 1/3 of the way in with little resistance.

What are my options here? Any advice is greatly appricated.

Yup ... that's what happens when the twin cam engines chain tensioners or cam bearings go . As far as I know there is no fix . I had a couple of these over the past few years and had to replace the case in all instances .
Depending how badly the case is " wollerd " out you might be able to purple locktight the bearing in place . An HD shop wouldn't do this in most cases as they would be liable if it failed again .
Also ... all those little bearing bits and pieces got into the engine and oil pan so everything needs to be taken apart and cleaned and checked for damage .
Another option is a reman engine !

That's kind of what I figured. Not much hope.
I found lots of little pieces in the oil pump and cam case but I know there has to be some in the oil pan and crank and lines.

This shouldn't have happend with just 40,000 miles.

Wonder what it cost for reman motor?
