Nice job ! How often do you empty that breather can ? The main jet was loose holding the emulsion tube in place , well if the problem is gone then that must have been it .

Schmidty,

I checked it after 2 weeks, and basically all I get is a few drops of condensation. I've yet to officially "empty it", as it evaporates on longer rides. I'll check it in another month, and clean it out. (bottom unscrews as well as top)

I'm sure as the winter sets in, the colder temps will produce more condensation then in the summer.....

The jet was tight, rather the entire emulsion tube was loose. I'm willing to bet I screwed the jet in, then put the emulsion tube in finger tight, and firgot to tighten it. With the stock tube, there's a 5/16" flange to use as a nut, vs the Dynojet tube that you have to place in, tighten with a flatblade screwdriver, then place the jet in.

Dee-dee-deeeeeee..............

While you are on the cam subject, I'm wondering if the cams will hold still long enough to change the crank sprocket for a +4* with out removing the push-rods to relieve the valve spring pressure.

On an evo? No. Valve spring pressure alone, coupled with tapped pressure will jack that can down hard, damaging the inner cam bearing, the moment you get the cam cone off. That cam cone, (ignition cone) is what holds the outer part of the cam, in a brass bushing. Even if you got it off, you'd never get it back on.

Gotta go the long route.

I didn't mention it's a twin cam '07, if it makes a difference.

Crank gear change.

Can't honestly say. If you undo the crank gear, and ONE cam lobe is on the down side of a lobe, it's gonna shift, and knock out the cam/pinion timing.

Again.......I don't know the answer for fact.
