more info
Thanks guys, double checked plug wires, replaced with new, tried disconnecting MAP sensor, verified electric comp release is working, I am stumped. Would an 09 Jims somehow have the trigger on the crank in a different position than stock? Nah, that makes no sense. It sure does seem like timing though. Unless I'm wrong the only things that can effect timing are.... CPS and "trigger" on crank, ignition module, MAP sensor. All new. Any way to "manually" check timing? Sometimes I really miss points lol.....

Forget the ckp , if you've got spark it's working . It sure sounds like the timing is 180 degrees out . To find out you can get the front cylinder to tdc and take the ckp out of the hole , now look in there to see if there's a tooth showing on the crank wheel . If there's a tooth showing then the timing is off , if there's a gap then that's where it's supposed to be . The ignition triggers the coil to fire when the gap passes the ckp . The carbed icm takes care of timeing and dwell .
TDC ... piston at the top of it's stroke and both valves fully closed . Jack the rear tire off the ground and with plugs out and trans in top gear move the rear wheel back and forth to get the pistons moving up and down and to be able to watch the crank wheel teeth move through the ckp hole .

Thanks
Hey guys, really appreciate the help. Have triple checked plug wires. Have tried reversing. Have tried pulling the Dyna TC88 2P ignition and installing a stand alone Thunderheart. Still no go. Bought motor fully assembled from Jims. Part number 1308-3530 "fits 99-06 touring".
Must be missing something...... Have fuel, have lotsa spark, have huge compression. Will pull crank sensor as advised and report.

Well even if new, the CPS could be faulty, could test or try another one.
