Cool 2006 Heritage Classic 1450 idle problems

I have a 2006 Heritage Classic with a 1450 motor, fuel injected. 8900 miles bought used. It was tuned up before I bought it last month. I've put about 300 miles on it with no problems. Yesterday the motor stalled at a redlight. I pulled up to stop and pulled clutch in. While waiting, it just shut off. It did this 2 more times, only while at a stop. A little throttle keeps it from occuring while at a stop. It does't do it every time. It almost seems as though the idle needs turned up a bit. I filled up my tank the day before with high octane fuel. Any ideas what might be wrong.
Possible water in fuel?

Thanks Ed

If the problem wasn't there before you filled the tank then it's probably fuel related . The engine should idle at 1000 rpm when warmed up .
How about an intro in the New to the community section up top

update; still need advice....

Still having problem. The bike has Vance & Hines Big shots installed as well. Could this be the problem, if the bike wasn't tuned correctly. They were installed before I bought the bike. As stated earlier I thought that the fuel ( Bad fuel or water in tank ) might be the problem but the tanks been run out and refilled twice and the problem still exists.

Loose battery connections will cause this too.If they are loose,a higher idle will keep it running because the alternator puts out more off idle.

Axemandoo , does the engine light come back on for about 8 seconds after you start the bike indicating a stored historic code ? If so run a diagnostic code check for the code number and post it here .
You can find the code procedure in the General Service and Repair section .
