I was looking to add alittle cheap power would a kuryakyn hyper charger add a noticabke amount to my 88 fxr and would i need alter anything else to keep everything right. (air and fuel mixture).

I think what he is trying to tell you is that you will notice no difference.
Do a search on the Hypercharger. Lots of info there.

yup, my indie guy (who drag races a Harley) also told me that they were snake oil... matter of fact, he says that at speed they hamper performance.

had one of those on my bike a little later the hyper charger
end up in the junkbox less hp tq bad junk in my opinon.
i thinking of the forcewinder air cleaner instead
or the usual sc air cleaner if you dont have one on the bike but thats me.
yes you are going to alter the fuel mixture.

I've got a Kuryakyn hypercharger on my bike. other than exhaust, intake and V&H fuelpak, my bike is mechanically stock. I did however notice a slight increase when I put it on but nothing crazy. I personally wanted a hypercharger because I love the looks of them AND it gives me better airflow than a stocker.....

only difference you`ll feel is a lighter wallet.get a ness big sucker,not much on the market that flows better for the price (dont get fooled into buying A/C`s that boast a million CFM when your heads flow about 110 CFM @ 10" stock)
