96 c.i. motor parts...

I ride an 06 ultra, and am looking at options for a winter project. I am leaning towards just swapping cams but I have a complete oem upper end (i guess u call it that)of a 96 ci motor off of a 09 ultra that I put the stage 4 103 s.e. kit on. Can I use those heads and jugs and throttle body (obviously with some work done to them) on a motor build for my 88 or do I just need to go ahead and sell them?
I hope this isnt too trivial. As you can tell I'm still learning... just weighing all of my options and seeing what I want to do.
Thank you in advance for any input!
God Bless!
Michael

cylinders (not pistons) & heads (youll need to use you flanges)are about the only things you can use

So I can have them worked out to do a 98" build? That's good news!. What do you mean by flanges?

yes they can be bored for 98"`s,the late heads use a different flange on the intakes (where it bolts to the head)not a big deal, their about 12.00 bucks each
