While riding the bike tonight I heard a high pitched "tweep" coming from the left side of the engine. It has done it before and only when Increasing speed or on the throttle. Just had cams and lifters installed if this helps?

Were the bearings replaced at the same time? When you say it has done it before, do you mean before the cams were done?

Ya new bearings when they swapped the cams. It had done it before but only after the install. Never noticed anything like it before. Its hard to explain exactly what the noise sounded like but before it would do it when revving the engine at idle and also when getting on the throttle hard. When it did it tonight I was laying on the throttle a bit more then normal. It was a high pitched sound that went real quick. When I say tweeped I am trying to describe the sound it made. It was a weird sound so tweep is all I gots!

My guess would be the tolerances are a bit tighter now.

That's funny. My bike started making that noise too drove me mad. pulled primary checked everything, dealer found nothing wrong, on way home put my foot on shifter no noise said wt hell reached down with my hand held shifter no noise let go its back. got home put a light coat of wheel Bering grease on put it back on all good now

Ya I think u could be right nipple (lol nipple) the more I think of it, It was more freaquent when I just got it. I havent heard it in over 700mi so tonight when hearing it made me think otherwise but I will give it some more time and let the things break in completely. Thanks

Did you lower the bike. Could be the drive belt under acceleration rubbing somewhere. I know it happens on a Softail. Check your belt tension,couldn't hurt.

Found out this noise is caused by pre detonation..... Taking bike in along with the SE tuner to get rid of it. In the mean time, can this cause damage? What should I check to make sure everything is ok? Thanks
