06 Road King FLHR

I am thinking of buying a Harley Davidson FLHR RoadKing 06. I would like to hear what the general feeling is about this bike. It is a carburettor bike.

I own a 2006 FLHRI road king, I love this bike. I also own a 2009 Ultra Classic which is an awesome machine, but the Road king has more classic looks and even though I have done some serious performance work I would ride it anywhere. I have riden the King to Sturgis three years running. The King is in my opinion the best everyday town or highway built. My King is low miles approximately twenty thousand miles, but since buying the new Ultra it is mostly ignored.

I think I would be as happy or happier with a 06 carb as to an 07+ injector bike right now.

I like the look of the Road King. One of my club mates has a 2008 model and it sure does impress

My '07 Road King Classic even though a 96 with a six speed would be hard pressed to be better than my '03 Ultra Classic. The Ultra Classic may not be the powerhouse the RK Classic is but it was a far more comfortable ride. But you're right, the Road King has more class. I guess it all in the eyes of the beholder, so-to-speak.
