JIM'S inner cam bearing removal tool.

Just replaced my cam and lifters, and of course, the INA inner cam bearing with a Torrington B-138.

When I went to use the JIM's remover tool, it said to simply "tap" the tool into the bearing with a soft hammer.

Despite using a soft hammer, and despite how hard I tapped, It wouldn't go in and I was uncomfortable with hitting it any harder for fear of a bearing needle (or all) coming out.

If you simply take a small radiator hose clamp and put it around the fingers of the tool and compress them, it slips right in with no hitting.

Afterwards, you can loosen the clamp via one of the tappet block open holes.

Wa-la.

Removal made easy.

FYI

Sure did. I still felt like I was about to slam the bearing into the flywheel........

I'm not a nervous person, but you couldn't get a needle up my azz with a jackhammer while trying to get that tool in the bearing......
