crankcase leak

hey there guys, my evo is leaking from the bottom of the crankcase. Is there anything I can put on the outside to stop this leak? Or am I just going to have to replace the gasket?

It's not likely that the case is leaking, rather the stator plug, or something else that's leaking and running down to look like the cases...... a base gasket is a good item to leak and look like a case leak.

i was told with an evo u have to warm them up for a minute or 2 so the metal can expand. had the same problem and it was the base gaskit and the stater plug gaskit.

Don't be believing it is just the Evo. Even your twinkie with aluminum cylinders, grows and swells as it reaches temp. The Evo was just the first bike to have that set up.

And it shouldn't leak, even when cold. Mine doesn't.
