2500 miles notice oil dripping from air cleaner.

Hi all! I did a search and found plenty on this subjuct but nothing for a bike as new as mine. Obviously i am a bit worried. Anyhow after riding for a short while i get some drips of oil out of the air cleaner. Now my oil levels are good. It is an RSD air cleaner i have about 1500 miles on the air cleaner could it simply be that it needs cleaned and recharged? also the plugs have no signs of oil and the bike has not sat for any time really. IF any one has any suggestions please just let me know. Thanks to anyone ahead of time who replies.

Normal.

Oil vapors vent from the heads into the air cleaner housing and eventaully, if speeds of 65 mph+ are exceeded, the vapors accumulate faster than the air filter/venturi vacuum can suck them in, and you get a few drips.....

Not pretty, but a reality.

An Arlen Ness Big Sucker or similar type air filter can prevent this because it sucks the vapors into the venturi and not into the outer housing, where vapors accumulate and turn into oil drips.....

I put the 95" kit on my Roadking @ 2500 miles w/ Stage 1 download and K&N aid filter. Mine did the same thing and you know just a tiny bit of oil makes a unsightly mess on a brand new Scoot. My friend who is factory certified and works on friends bikes out of his home installed a overflow vent tube and that solved the problem.
