Going to wrap the BUB Jug Huggers now...

I'm going to wrap my BUB Jug Huggers. Hate 'em performance-wise, so might as well use them to learn how to wrap and do something different. I'm going to do a photo-write-up on the process so people can see how it's done (or, probably, how not to do it). I'm not going to be testing performance improvements, if any - which there won't be - any time soon.

(1) Throw all the advice on the process you can at me, please.
(2) Let me know problems you've had so I can address them in the write-up.
(3) Let me know anything else that'd be important to cover in the write-up.
(4) Clue me in one what I should be taking pictures of the most, close-ups, etc.

I'll post the basics of the tutorial up here on the forum and a more detailed one on the website I'm putting together. I don't have the patience to upload one picture at a time, otherwise I'd post the whole dang thing on here. Hopefully it's good.

Wrap pipe with dry wrap, loosely, then add 3-5' to length.

Wet wrap.

Start at "nice end" (most visible end, usually at end of muffler or exhaust end of header) by tucking material under wrap and then going over it. Leave about a 4" tab to be wrapped over. Place "tab" under wrap on bottom or rear, so it's less noticable.

Wrap pipe/muffler tightly, with 40-50% overlap on 2" wrap.

Finish wrap, roll end under and use safety wire, hose clamp or metal ties to secure.

Run bike to dry it.

Once dry, spray with DEI silicone spray (for wrap) to preserve and make water resistent.
