V&H Longshots

Hey fellas...

I have a '95 FLHT (EVO) and a guy has a set of V&H Longshots on a 2002 (TC) FLHT. Any ideas if they will fit my bike? Does V&H have a fitament page somewhere? He only wants $125 and the 2:1 I have now is killing me. I can't hear my radio

I think that 1995-2006 will work. check out Vance & Hines: Performance Exhaust Systems but I think they will work.

Thanks for the link!

Vance & Hines: Performance Exhaust Systems

99-06. Dang. Looks like the EVO/TC doesn't exchange with these.

The head spacing for the Evo/TC for exhaust ports are the same.

Thanks Dave, another little nugget of trivia for me to keep up in the noggin'.

Hmmm, I was looking and the complete pipes tend to be 99-XX where the slip ons are 95-XX. Maybe it's that bracket at the transmission that doesn't fit?

Correct. The trans on the TC has a different mount then the Evo, but it's not hard to fab one or modify one to work. The Evo has a separate trans /engine, and the TC has them mated, sans the gap and same rear exhaust mount. If you used a trans mount tab from your Evo and flat stock steel, it's not hard to fab that rear mount, as all it does is hold it from shaking itself to death, and supports the rearward weight.

Hmmmm. Now to come up with $125 and a flat piece of steel. "Geee honey, I don't know what that cash advance was for, are you sure it wasn't you?"

Might as well ice the cake, and take the flat plate steel off the dishwasher.......

If you're gonna be in the doghouse, it might as well be for a good reason.

The V&H's should have a flat plate welded to the two rearward pipe lengths, that the stock hanger mounts to.

I'll be doing the similar method to a Thunderheader I got from Lee.....

I really miss my double barrel Sampsons. They looked awesome and sounded great. Only loud when you nailed it. The 2:1 is too bulky looking and even with a baffle, freaking loud.
