2010 Street Glide Exhaust

I love my new ride and there isn't anything major I plan to change immediately other than being able to hear the bike. For now I'd like to add a good slip on. Looking at a couple of current options offered by Vance and Hines for the 2 into 1. Ultimately I will open up the intake and go more radical with pipes and obviously modify fuel delivery, but for now need to keep it on the cheap and avoid mods to the EFI if possible. I'm interested in feedback on just adding a more open slip on (aside from the SE nightstik) without the need for dealer flash downloads, ect. I've been watching the plugs (now at 1200 miles) and while they look OK, they are surprisingly lean for my elevation of 5000 ft. I'm curious to understand how much sound vs back pressure is tied up in the stock muffler. Thanks in advance.

There will be two new Vance and Hines slip ons out by December and also Carriage Works is now going to be making exhaust. We will have the new Carriage Works slip on soon at our dealership I work at.I have seen the Carriage Works slip on and it is by far the best looking slip on I have seen. There will be two options in the Carriage Work Slip on-One with a chrome body and black end cap and two there will be one with a chrome body and chrome end cap.D&D has a few options as well.

Just remember 2010 models have different O2 sensors (they are smaller) than previous years.

Correct. The O2 sensors are now a 4 wire heated narrowband sensors. Because they are now heated they have been moved to the collector area of the pipe before it merges. They are also a 12MM barrel.

With a slip on you won't have to worry about the O2 sensors as the muff is aft of the sensors . The SE ( V&H ) has a nice muff that is tuneable , has stacked diffuser discs. that can be added to get more sound and less back pressure as you do more mods . The top security torx bolt has to be replaced with a regular allen bolt though .
I think the new 02 sensors are a 13mm hex .

D&D Exhaust has their Boss Glide muffler for the 2010 Harley head pipes. I received mine yesterday. I ordered it by phone late Thursday, it shipped from Texas the same day, and it was delivered on Saturday to Tennessee. Sounds great! $289 delivered. I got the black one, but they also have chrome.

I've seen the boss glide and have read good things about D&D. On D&D's website they claim to have dyno tested with the boss glide and a zippers intake with no changes to the EFI neccessary. "Bolt and go" is the claim. Have you noticed any loss in low end torque?
Thanks!

Thanks for your post. It's my understanding the SE nightstik is made by Supertrapp. Supertrapp has been around for a long time and I've used there products with good success for dirt bikes and atv's. The stock nightstik is 50 state approved which is going to be quite relative to what I'm looking for. Any idea what the tuning kit costs allowing changes to the disc config.?? Thanks again

I assume the heated sensors and location are a function of the head pipe cats? Thanks
