need help with pipes
Over the next month I want to change the exhaust on my 07 Roadking. At this time all stock but has vance & hines ovals on it and they are not load enough. Just read the forum that Dave just put rhineharts on and this is what I think I am looking for. First problem I ran into when I went to my harley dealer to price a set they tell me they were having trouble with the company with warrenties and other issues and are not going to carry them anymore. they have one set left and I am not sure wether to buy them or not. they said they have another up and coming brand called LA choppers. Have anybody heard of they and if so how are they. I'm also going to put the aircleaner up grade on and they tell me I don't need a tunner, any thoughts on this. also looking at putting true duals on it, how will that change the sound. please need any input to this . thanks

The problem that HD is having with BUB/Reinhardt, is that the black pipe tips (Anodixed aluminum) will eventually turn brown. Big deal....
Some guys are complaining that for the money they spent, that the tips shouldn't be changing colors. I gotta agree, but it doesn't bother me.
Strip the black (or brown if faded) off and polish them blingy silver.

The local independent shop owner told me today that Reinhart is out of business. I thought that Bub had some affiliation with Reinhart, but from what he said no more Reinhart pipes or mufflers will be made.

Uhm...your Indy's slightly off on his information.....
BUB Enterprizes and Rinehart Racing merged on a project to make BUB/Rinehart pipes for motorcycles a few years back. Through the efforts of BUB Enterprises/Racing, in cooperation with Gerald Rinehart/Rinehart Racing, you saw BUB/Rinehart exhaust for motorcycles. It was born...
Gerald Rinehart, the owner of Rinehart Racing, is who owns the motorcycle exhaust part of the company now. They've worked with, and produced exhaust for Championship NASCAR Teams including Richard Childress Racing, Dale Earnhardt Incorporated and Roush Racing.
What has happened, is BUB is no longer affiliated with the company, and As of October 20, 2009, Rinehart is now merging with Clearline Industries, to continue producing Rinehart Exhaust.
Read more here: RINEHART RACING AND CLEARLINE INDUSTRIES, LLC ENTER INTO MANUFACTURING ARRANGEMENT | Rinehart Racing
They're not going out of business, rather just regrouped with another company.....

Question...I had rineharts slip ons installed on my roadking classic 08 and now I want to convert to true duals. The question is, can I just purchase the pipes to convert to true dual or do I have to purchase another set of rineharts specifically made for true dual install

Did one yesterday ... V&H true duals and used the SE muffs that were on the RK ... no problems .
I shouldn't say no problems , I didn't use the clamps that came with the true duals , I reused the stock HD clamps .
