V & H Power Duals vs Stock Headpipes

Looking to get some opinions as to whether it would be worth the money and performance to install Vance & Hines Power Duals pipes with my Vance & Hines Monster Ovals or just put the MO's on with the stock head pipes on my 09 Ultra Classic. Does anybody have these combinations ? I've seen posts where guys have lost performance going from stock headpipes to the Power Duals with the MO's installed.

FYI I'm also going to add the Screamin Eagle Stage 1 Air Cleaner and am in debate as to what fuel management unit to purchase. See the Performance Section. Thanx.....

I have the monster ovals on my 09 ultra classic. I emailed V&H several weeks ago and asked them about the power duals. They said I would gain 2hp over the stock head pipes and they would perform better.. They also said the monster ovals would be a little louder and have more bark with the power duals.

I plan on doing this upgrade and also add a V&H fuelpak and K&N air kit in the next several months.

A friend of mine rides an 08 softail deluxe and he really likes the V&H fuelpak on his bike.

Monster Ovals are highly rated mufflers. They have a large enough diameter so that they can make power while not being deafeningly loud, in fact, they have a nice sound to them.
