help with exhaust

I just bought a 09 electra classic, I am want new louder exhaust, I don't want open pipe loud, but the stock is just to quiet. I want to make better power also.
I had a 07 VRod night rod special with V&H black widow's I like them, Does the screaming eagle pipes compare?
Are the stock header pipe pretty good? After all this is not a race bike.

Any advice would be apperciated.

I put V&H Monster Ovals on mine. Not loud but have a real deep tone.
From everything I've read the stock header pipes on the 09's flow really well.

Since this is your first post, take a minute and introduce yourself in the new member area.

I just bought and installed these slip on mufflers that are called "Wild Pig Pipes". I put the 2 1/4" baffles in them and they sound great. They give you the right throaty rumble at idle and when you jump on it the are loud. When i put them on and sat on my bike, i can feel the rumble in my chest. You can only buy them on Ebay because the company is a small time shop located in Florida. They only cost around $175 + shipping and the baffles are $55. They come with 1 3/4" baffles but I wanted more "throaty" sound which is what the bigger baffles provide. And you won't be spending boocoo bucks on the other top brands. They come in either slash cut or straight cut. They say that they're factory seconds but trying to find the blemishes is hard. I recommend these pipes especially for the cost. The only problem that I have right now is there is no download for my power commander with these pipes.

I put SE slip-ons on my 09 Ultra...don't waste your money! I am going to try the Bassani slip-ons. They are cheaper than the Monster Ovals by 300.00 and deliver a deep sound and are not to loud.

Does anyone have any opinions on this brand?

Bassani 4 in. Slip-On Scalloped Slash-Cut Mufflers (95 in. Plus) for Harley Touring

Thanks for any help.

I'm running Rinehart's on mine and I really like the sound without them being outrageously loud.

TXRancher...what don't you like about the S-E's? I am looking at buying a set for my '09 RKC. I just want a deeper sound than the stockers. I've got a buddy with the Wild Pigs on his 05 RK and they sound pretty good, but I'm not too sure about remapping with the Pigs and a little nervous about the quality. I looked at the V&H Monster Ovals...but HOLY OVAL PIPES BATMAN...$700 bucks, plus another $267 for a power commander. If I'm gonna drop (and I'm not) a grand on my exhaust, I may as well fork out the extra $200 and go for the Harley tax (stage 1 upgrade).
