Already replaced the crappy things with Thunderheaders. I really like the pipes, but now I'm back to messin' with the carb.

A nice rich sounding Harley is a beautiful thing, but drag pipes detract from the what it should sound like. I understand the whole concept of being loud so drivers will be aware of you, but too loud is just, well, too loud. I didn't enjoy riding a bike that loud. Now it's got that deep Harley gurgle and barks nice and loud when I twist it hard. Drag pipes make tuning a carb almost impossible and they hurt the performance of a street bike. My .02 cents.

It sounds great. Much better than those drag pipes. When you buy a Harley, they should make you sign something that says you will never but drag pipes on your bike.

Perhaps a goldwing is more your style. There are many who like drag pipes. To each their own.
