Question Installed SE11 Pipes (slip-ons) on 2006 Heritage.

Installed these on my Bike and they sound great. I talked to a guy yesterday who informed me that I should be ok with running them with out doing any calibrations. He said I should run for about 200 miles and check the spark plugs for lean-nes. Is this true. I am not looking for anymore hp. just cruising. I also talked to someone who has the same bike and put on the same pipes and did nothing also. (2yrs. now). Need another opinion please. Love my bike and would like to keep loving it (but not in the shop) Thanks all.

Yep. You're running lean from the factory (EPA compliant) and now you gave the engine more room to breathe. According to HD, SE pipes do NOT require remapping as long as the original air filter system is used, but truth be told, even a completely stock bike could use a remapping and a little more fuel, equaling a tad more power and cooler running temps.

Dave: Does the same go for the 09 Touring ? I just talked to the dealer today about putting on SE Slip-ons on my 09 Ultra without a tuner or air cleaner and he also told me they would be fine. Thanx....
