I installed a two inch tank lift on my Dyna last night. The directions say that it is not necessary to replace the bottom cross hose on the 2" lift. However the hose is touching the frame and even though it is a fairly thick hose I am concerned with rubbing. I didn't get to start it up last night to see if or how much vibration there is cause they didn't send the longer vacume hose and I was too lazy to go to a part store last night. I am thinking that there will be little to no vibration and it should be fine, but am curious if anyone else who has done the tank lift has had issues with that hose rubbing.

I need some help deciding on purchasing a Road King or Heritage. Plans with the bike is to: taking an occasional ride 70 miles to the beach with the wife, I live in south Georgia so the weather is very nice to ride except Dec. to Feb., love going to Daytona to the bike shows in March and October, My brother and Dad also ride and love going to the Gatlinburg Tenn area but they usually tow them there. I have riden both of them and can't seem to find alot of differences. If anyone has an opinion on both of these bikes, please let me know. Thanks, Rick

Hey dudes, first time i'm on this forum. I'm really interested in biking weaponary and lore through time. I find weapon lore from all different genres interesting and I'd like to learn more about Biker related weapons. Maybe this sounds weird? But I work in Hollywood, we're obessed with story telling. So it goes.

For instance I just heard about, i think this is right, a "Mexican Biker Ring?" When brass knuckles were outlawed during the zoot suit riots they switched to individual large plated rings that could be used to properly "smash a fools face"

Does anybody have any internet resources on this? I'd love to read more. Also I got a question, Does anybody know about this or did Hollywood get it wrong. I was watching Sons of Anarchy, they were wearing large buck knifes on their right side. That's contradictory to the traditional style of wearing a sword on the left side so it's free when you get on a horse from the left side and can be drawn with the usually dominant right hand.

Is a knife traditionally worn like that so it can be drawn with the left hand without taking a hand off the throttle....or is it just wrong?

Yep. Huge nerd. THat's why I make movies about bashing heads instead of actually bashing heads.

I plan on adding A stage two Bitiching seat to my Bike and these Shocks are recommended to lower the Bike 1".
I could just buy a lowering kit for $100.00 but, The better ride and safer alternative would be these shocks.
Has anyone used these shocks ? If so, Are they a big improvement over the stock Shocks ?

Thanks,

Hey ya'll I need an opinion...I know EVERYONE has one!:nod

I am interested in joining a local HOG chapter. The closest chapter/sponsoring dealer is about 19 miles from me. I didn't buy my bikes(2) from this dealer because basically..they really didn't want my business. I realize the chapter members there could be and probably are great. The sponsoring dealer/HOG chapter where I purchased my bikes is 60 miles away, HOWEVER...if the HOG members are anything like this dealer, they ARE GREAT! IF I were closer to this dealer it would be a non-issue.. But I'm a little concerned that I wouldn't be as involved because of the distance.

Which chapter would YOU join?

THANKS!

One of our members here, Chris07, goes to Blocker's Harley Davidson and orders a sissybar for his sporty. Calls when the parts dude said it would be in. Not in. Wasn't ordered, or not correctly, apparently.

Calls yesterday and still not in, so he cancelled his order (had half the cash down) and went to another dealer that had it in stock.

Blocker's had the audacity to charge him $19 for a "handling/restocking" fee, when it wasn't there, never was, nor was even in stock to begin with EVEN AFTER they screwed the order up the first time.

They've lost me as a customer for life. I hope that $19 is worth it for them.

That's rediculous.
