Girlfriend and her father are working on making me in to a rider. I'm keeping her 96 883 in my garage this winter for a little TLC. She knows this tank is not stock. Anyone know what it's off of?? Also, is there a way to put a fuel gauge on it? She already ran out of gas once on the road lol! Luckily for her whatever tank it is has a reserve position on the petcock and she figured out how to use it!!

Ok all you Old guys I need you to help me remember the name of a very old product. I got a friend who has some surface rust in odd places,,,foot peg mounts, chrome belt guard,,etc,,,he cannot afford new stuff right now. OK OK there was once a product in a small 6 oz bottle. It was pink and thick like PVC glue, the lid had an applicator stick. Looked like peptobismol,,,you slopped it on ,,waited a few minutes i think,,hosed or wiped it off,,Rust was GONE,,,If the chrome was deeply pitted It would get 90% of the rust outta the deep spots. I used it in a bicycle shop in the early 70's,,,worked great! Ok Ok now you know Im old and forgetful,,,anyone remember this product!!!!!:mwink

I downloaded a software program to my computer that allows me to watch the Boise State Broncos and basically any other NCAA college football game online via live streaming feed. I use it because I'm at work (aargh..) a lot of times when the games are played, and there's no TV at work. I use it so much that I actuallyprefer to watch football over the Internet instead of on TV.

It's easy to operate and downloads very quickly. The only pc requirements are DSL or cable Internet and a windows operating system (sorry mac users), and it apparently works in any country.

Anyway, the website below will give you instant access.

Hey, JP Cycles has a lot of these (with the blue dots already installed ). Page 345 in the '09 catalog.
They have the original lens type, of course, but they also have a selection of laydown lenses.
I really like the look... question is this: do these lenses work with the original mounting frame (the chrome part bolted to the fender) or do I need to replace the entire assembly?

They don't seem to sell any complete units..? I'm guessing if complete assemblies are needed, they'd sell 'em that way?
Looking close, it seems the guts may already be in the lens, tough to tell from the online photo.
Don't have any experience with JP, and don't know.

Anyone else use one of these on your Sporty?
