Hey Dixie,
Never met you but it sounds like you're going through a rough time with a friend who won't be around much longer. I'm sure it's hard but I'm also sure he/she appreciates you being around in this time of need.
Just wanted to say that my thoughts are with you and your friend. Not that there's anything else I can do but wanted you to know. When it gets to that time of my life, I'm sure I could use a good friend.

Yep.....he's got a sick friend, and I for one, know what it's like to see a friend die, and feel like there's nothing in the world you can do, but want to....and no matter what, you can't fix, or change a thing.
It's a helpless, sickening feeling.
