no brake light on shovelhead

i replaced the hydraulic switch,new tail light with wires from jp cycles and still no brake light.i think my problem might be between the ignition switch and the headlight.its a 1979 FLH ive owned it since it was new. never had to mess with the wireing before,its been a good bike. any ideas anybody? thanks JAKE

Ya might have air in your brake line. Probably at the switch itself. Remember, the switch is hydrulic not pneumatic. When I change a brake switch I take a hypodermic needle with brake fluid and squirt some into the switch before screwing it in. Then I bleed the brakes. And like the other guys said - check your wires.
