Fuel Pressure?
Bike: 2008 Dyna Fat Bob
Each time I fill my tank 1/2 to Full, the engine runs like sh#t. When the gas gauge is below a 1/4 tank or near the red, the engine begins to run like a charm (just like it did brand new out-of-the-box).
I am now only putting a gallon or two in the tank, instead of topping it off to try to circumvent the issue. I use SUNOCO premium, 93/94 octane. it's becomming a huge issue on long rides and any insight/help would be of great help

We like new guys to go to the New Members section and post some kind of an intro. You tend to get more help if we know something about you
No clue about your fuel problem. I can't think why the quantity of fuel in the tank would affect fuel pressure.
The only thought I have is that maybe the bike runs good if it is feeding out of the Reserve tube, and there is something blocking the main tube or filter.

Generally speaking, you don't die on motorcycles.
You die a few yards away from what's left of them.
Yes, I have had two bottles of wine. What the fukk is your problem

OK ! It kinda sounds like a symptom of a plugged tank vent . The less fuel in the tank creates less vacumme than a full tank if the vent is pinched or plugged . Did you do anything to your bike like maybe having the tank off then back on that the vent coulda got pinched or something ?

No, did not have anything apart on or near the vent tube. But, both suggestions are great and I will have to look into this. A friend of mine told me about a bee crawling into his vent one time and caused him all kinds of grief since it was not obvious

Fill your tank and drive the bike , when it starts running like you said loosen the filler cap to see if it clears up . If it clears up the vent is plugged .

Yes, I have tried taking the cap off and no apparent changes. Still ran like (i said) until the tank become low on gas where-as it starting running great again.

FYI: I also replaced the stock gas cap with a harley locking gas cap. It's a harley part and I assume it should work fine.
