V&H Fuel Pack with Rinehart true duals?
Have read, searched most threads. As far as piggy backs, read mostly good things about fuel pack so not sure why I would want to pay more for a PC V or other type. Thundermaxx is probably the "bomb" but looking for better performance not the max hp. (no pun intended)
Anyone running this fuel management/pipe combo on 08 Road King Classic and if so.....how do you like it?

Piggy back efi management systems that plug in between the HD ecm and the main harness can only function within the parameters of the programming that's written into HD's program . Stand alone systems that replace the HD ecm have their own program parameters and are more flexible . Fairly stock ( no huge c.i. or high comp. ratio ) engines can be tuned very well with piggy back management systems . The big h.p. muscle engines will require stand alone systems as well as larger or modified throttle body assys. to get the afr in line .

Thanks......planning on staying stock, at least for a couple of years. Runs good now with Rush s/o's on stock headers, xied's and stage 1 download. Want to go true dual for heat management (and yes better sound) so need something to richen that next level of pipe change. Next big upgrade will be wifes VStar to HD tourer so this change I am looking at will last me a couple of years. (I hope)

Cool , but if ya notice that left muff changing color and the plugs are real white then I'd bump up to a fuelpak of some sort . The HD stage 1 download from the dealer computer doesn't really address fuel management as much as timing .

hmmmm.......I think I communicated poorly as I am prone to do. However I think you did just answer what I wanted to know.
Basically if I add the Rineharts, is a V&H Fuelpack a good choice to dump more fuel in to get moderate performance and keep her from running too lean. My plan was to do both of these, the treu duals and the V&H Fuelpack.
So many choices, so little cash.

better than the download then yes, best option out for fuel mgmt then no. if you plan on doing anything else to the bike save you cash and get a better system like the harley tuner, that way you wont be wasting your money in the fuel pack, the fuel is very generic mapping and is not adjustable.

As a general rule, just adding an exhaust system or slip-on's will not require any change in the EFI map. It is not until you add an intake, such as the Screaming Eagle Stage 1 or an aftermarket intake like the Arlen Ness Big Sucker that you need to worry about an EFI remap or a fuel management system.
When I added a D&D Fat Cat 2-into-1 exhaust, I contacted V&H to see if they had a map for that exhaust with the stock intake; they didn't. They said that all of their maps require an upgraded intake, not just pipes.
