Softail/FXDL/FXDWG Gas Gauge intechange...

Anyone know what year gauges interchange for the FXDWG/FXDL/Softtail? I have a 99 FXDthat I am putting an 02 FDXL tank on and need the sending unit and gas gauge for it. It is aarbed tank. Anyone know what years up an down will fit that tank? Looks like the FDXL and FXDWG share the same gauge in my 99 manual, and the P/N's are 75062-90 for the sending unit and 75049-88B for the gauge. I don't have an 02 manual and haven't had time to go the the HD dealers here to see what they have for old manuals.

The gas cap and gauge/sender is the last hoop to jump thru...

The mike is on ! I would check the different year parts books to see which numbers match up between the different tanks . Usually if the first 5 digits of the the part number match they're the same part , the digits after the dash indicate revisions to the original part . When the original part number gets revised the original number would go obsolete and the new number will be the part you get .

FYI, the Softail and Lowrider tanks around the 01-03 range both take the 75062-01a...down to the guage....
