S&S is more performance oriented over a Keiheen CV carb, despite it being a good carb.

Some people love them.

I swapped out my Keihn carb on the 1983 even before I got it out of the showroom, for an S&S Super B. Had that carb for 25 years. Part way through those 25 years I sent it back to Wisconsin to S&S and they rebuilt and cleaned it for next to nothing. Last couple years I've had the S&S super E w/ acel pump and I've liked that better.

Dialing the S&S in didn't seem difficult at all. T3e instructions for jet size were pretty cut and dry. PLus that S&S cleaner is the shiet.:

Excellent carb super E would be best for ya loks like you have a thunder header start out with a 72 main jet and work from there its not as hard as you think but most of all make sure you intake is properly seated or it wont run right no matter what you do.

only one person I ride with (approx 15 to 20 people) that has a CV carb likes it and doesn't seem to have any problems with it. All the guys that have S&S carbs love them and have no problems. I currently have a CV and as soon as I get the cabbage, I will have a Super E. I have a Super B on my sporty, no problems with it
