Screaming Eagle Big Air

I have a FXSTC 2009 that I bought a screaming Eagel Big air and was told I would have to take it to the dealer for ECM tunning if I put it on. Is this just a bunch of crud or are they for real. They bsaid is is tunned lean from the factory but my real question does the ECM adjust for alt like riding in the mountains and no issues. I think theu might be just pulling my leg. Let me know I just spent a butt load of money and would like to add more bling. Thanks Geoff
