Thundermax to Fuelpak
Hi, I was wondering of anybody knows if you need the stock 02 sensors for Fuelpak to work, or if I can just plug the sensor bungs? The reason im asking is because I threw away my stock 02 sensors when I got the Thundermax with autotune. Its really been nothing but a problem, lots of gremlins in the system had issues with my battery being drained that their tech dept cant resolve, they basically have no answer. Anyway,im getting rid of the T-max for a fuelpak cause im at the end of my rope.

T-Max has wideband sensors, and originals are narrowband.

Ive tried, Ive been struggling with the t-max for months now, theyve sent replacement ecm's and its always the same problem. The issue ive been having they dont know how to resolve it, theyve really tried but cant. I know the sensors for the t-max are wideband, and they have different connectors than the stock sensors, i looked at the installation instructions for fuelpak and it doesnt say anything about 02 sensors, so im wondering if ill be ok basically not having a sensor at all, Ill be leaving the T-max sensors in but not hooked up untill I get a plug for the 02 bung on my pipes. Will this be a problem?

I would not bet on your battery problem getting solved by removing the TMax.

Its definitely the T-Max, when I turn the key off the engine fuel system primes itself continuously, turn the handlebar kill switch off with the key off and the throttle body continues to run, its a gremlin in the T-max that they cant fix.

You need to deal with this issue before you continue. A low voltage battery can cause all kinds of issues with an EFI system....
Incorrect voltage can be a serious issue, no matter what ECU, or fuel management system you use.

Its not the battery, its brand new, I had it tested, the problem is after the bike is shut off things continue to run and pull juice when its not supposed to. I have to pull the ecm fuse after I ride it to not have a dead battery when I come back.
Tmax says its an "anamoly" that their engineering dept is looking into but in the mean time till they do I still want to ride, fuelpak is relatively cheap and at least Ill get to ride without worrying about the dang battery being dead, and my FI system taking a beating.

Northstar06, I can't say it's not possible, I will say you are unique.
I see hundreds of TMax users on many sites and your story is unique.

The Fuelpak controls your fuel/air ratio within the narrow band of your stock O2 sensors, so you need to replace the stock sensors. You can probably find a couple on ebay.
One of the reasons I chose the Fuelpak was it's ease of install and more to the point, ease of removal should I have a warranty issue on my 09 Classic and need to return it to stock fairly quickly.
