Question to Thundermax users

Hey, I use Thundermax with auto tune on my 09 Nightster. I have had a issue in the past with my battery being drained, at first it was the Thundermax with a short lived Firmware version that was the problem. I changed that and a month later had the same problem. I was sure it was the T-Max again and got a replacement sent but had the same problem. Anyway, after checking here and got some replies from users about how they didnt think it was the T-max but something else I decided to take it to the dealership to have looked at. Turns out it was a fried system relay. The dealer wouldnt warranty it (not a huge deal it was $12.50) cause they said aftermarket systems like T-Max, PCIII, Fuelpak etc, carry more current than the system is designed for and cause the relays to heat up and fry. Talked to T-max they said that was hogwash. Just wondering if any other T-max users have had this problem?

Some H D dealers act like used car salesmen.

"was hogwash", is correct. The $ 12.50 was well worth the cure.

No problem with Tmax as I posted for you in the past,

Al

There is some re-thinking needed before future product bashing.

APOLIGY?

I was wrong, I thought for sure it was the t-max because it had done the same thing earlier.
