Need advice from the experianced

I just had my 09 EG Classic in for service which included a 1k service, Python slip ons and the new SE Ventilator air intake and they did some 99.00 download. This was all done at the HD dealer. Bike idles fine but it seems I may have lost power from stock. It seems to have lost punch or torque and I have to change gears sooner in the RPM range it seems unless I am not taking it up far enough in the RPM range before switching. Usually 3.5 to 5k range.
Now saying that it runs fine. Could it be that I am not use to the throttle difference? I have not red lined it yet but I didn't before the upgrades either. What should I look for in performance if anything? New at this so any suggestions would be great. Also how many miles should I put on it before checking the plugs for right air fuel mix? Thanks

If you are running drag pipes or mufflers with very low restriction, you can lose low end torque. I rode a Sportster last year that had drag pipes. It had very little low end torque. It was a real dog to ride in the mountains. There was more top end power, for what that was worth on mountain roads.

Star motorcycles actually use a valve in the exhaust system that adds low end torque by restricting the exhaust at lower rpm's.

Note to my above post. I just took it back out and I guess its runs fine. I think I am still in a learning getting use to curve having just come off a BMW K1200LT. Love the Harley though. Seems I get some soft- minor pops coming off high RPMs to straight throttle off and I worry a little about that. 1200LT was faster but the HD is so much more fun.

I don't know about the TC-96, but the flash for the low restriction air cleaner and exhaust

for the TC-88 included raising the red-line from 5500 to 6250. Wind it up, see if it's got a lot more on top.

I have an old Screaming Eagle catalog with the dyno charts for all the upgrades,

the simple low restriction air intake and exhaust with flash looked to me like the best bang for the buck of them all.
