Exclamation 2006 efi advice

I bought a used 06 street bob with low miles. The dealership said that I don't need a remap or fuel device with just the harley slip-on
mufflers.I purchased a efi race fueler from h-d dealer(e-bay), and
wonder if I really need to add it at all. Can this fueler actually damage the engine if it is not set correctly?

Yes.
Think white heat melting pistons,
or leaving spark plug tips so hot they act like glow plugs and
ignite the fuel/air mix on the compression stroke

Did not need a fueler or tuner when I added slip-ons that were street legal and still considered stock. They just changed the tone of the exhaust. But to answer your question, a fueler can damage the bike if you add one and it is not adjusted correctly.
