S&S carb filter

Dumb question from a clueless devotee: Is the round filter for the S&S shorty E carb a reusable. I just received one and it looks like a K&N type filter. Should I oil it up?

wash it first with spray cleaner like 409, Simplegreemn or Westleys BleechWhite. Dry it with compressed air, then reoil with air filter oil. not motor oil.

If you have the wire mesh cage with the foam band that stretches over it then it's washable and reusable. If it has a paper type element toss it and replace it with a reusable one.

K & N makes a filter oil availible at most parts stores ,,,has the cleaner and the new oil in a spray....think it's around $10 for the kit...
