Just hacked my windshield
When I bought my bike the previous owner had a detatchable windshield on it. Although it's a nice set up I didn't like the look, too tall and skinny. And the shield was right in my field of view which I don't like. After doing some reading on cutting these and some careful measurements, I took my jigsaw and sander to it and 15 minutes later, I like it. A short test drive confirmed that it is now definately usefull and it exhibits minimal turbulence, actually less than before. If anyone is on the fence about this I can say it's allot more simple than it looks.

Pics will have to come tommorow. Internet is out at home. I'm posting from my phone and I don't even know if I can get a picture from the pnone to upload. I did square it off a little more than what it originaly was. The new shape makes it look fatter. Now if only I could tint it I think that would look good.

I wacked mine too. Cut about 1 1/2" off the top. Know what you mean about looking squarer, but I am looking over the top now with room to spare. Wind hits top of helmet. I used a jigsaw too.
