Passed the MSC

It was a lot easier then I expected. The only thing I lost points on was the weave. They even gave me a pin for a perfect score on the written. The worst of it is by the time I get the certificate the go to the DMV, it will be time to park her for the winter. Although, I am still hoping for a good day or two before that. At least next year I will have the big M on my DL and can take off ant time I want, pretty much do anyway. But I did learn things and will probably get in the expert class next year.

Later guys

Cool. I just passed mine about two months ago. You are right, it was easier than expected. I did get a point for going to slow around a turn. But having never riden a bike before the class, I did pretty good.

As far as waiting for the DMV... When I passed mine, they gave me a stamp on my permit right there at the test site and I was legal at that point. I did have to wait for the offical piece of paper, but the stamp held equal authority.

Congrats!

When you pull your bike out of hibernation next spring, you might
want to consider riding to a nearby parking lot and practicing some
of what you just learned.

I do that and re-read "Proficient Motorcycling" every spring...

Congrats, now apply what you learned so the next post isn't about crashing.

My advice?

Ride calmly and sober
Slow down
Leaves lots of room to maximize your options
Constantly assess the situation ahead
Position yourself to maximize your escape options
Aggressive riding has no place on the street.

I've been riding 39 years, 35 consecutive without mishap, so I may know something.

Congratulations! I got mine 30+ years ago. I don't even remember it. I guess it's true what they say about growing old. What do they say again?
