Rinehart Slip on Mufflers - 2009 Dyna Super Glide

I'm in the market for some slip on mufflers for a 2009 Dyna Super Glide. I don't want something that is tinny or extremely loud. I ride in a lot of areas where the local cops will write a ticket for noise issues. I heard some V&H straight shots with baffles, not the quiet baffles, and they were way to loud and the sound was not all that good.

I have been told that Reinhardt slip on mufflers are not too loud at lower rpm's and that they have a very nice rumble.

Another rider told me that he put baffles from Thunder City in his stock mufflers and that they have a nice sound, have increased performance (checked on a dyno) and that the sound is good. He is out of state and I have not had a chance to hear his bike.

Do you folks have any thoughts about these two products?

TIA - Pete

I have Rineharts on My 2 Bikes and they are Great, They are a bit louder on the Softail but when you are cruising at a steady speed they quiet down until you get on it. On My RG they are Sweet, Nice Rumble, Nice Sound all they way, No Complaints at all. They are Pricey though!

I have Rineharts on my Street Glide. I really like them, not to loud but loud enough. Sounds really good when you get on it and has a good sound when in high gear kinda luggin around.

I had SE slip on tapered mufflers on my 02 WG and recently picked up a pair of the Rinehart slip ons. I've go nothing but great things to say about the Rineharts. They have a very low rumble at idle and will bark when you jump on it. They are not too loud if you ride sensibly on the throttle. I can get out of our subdivision without waking all the neighbors if I want to.

Have you tried the "Baffelectomy" or whatever they call it under the "Exhaust" area of the forum? The SE mufflers I took off are very similar to the "Stage I" shown there. They had a nice rumble to them but I wanted more. Don't know if my old SE would fit your bike but I'd sell them to you pretty cheap if interested.

Heard the Rinehart slip ons on my father-in-laws new RK this weekend and I'm now thinking real hard about getting some for my 08 Dyna. I loved the deep sound they have. Didn't get to go out on it, but he said they sound awsome out on the road. Not sure how to explain it, but to me they have a high performance sound to them as apposed to just being loud. Keep us posted if you get them.

I think the rineharts are the best sounding slip on, bar none. The quality is excellent. My buddy has a set on his 04 Glide that are 5 years old, and still look perfect, no pitting, flaking or rusting. They still sound nice, haven't gotten much louder. If I was to buy pipes these would be the ones. Everyone compares their pipes to rineharts, that should tell you something.
