Fuel Stabilizers

Would anyone care to recommend A Fuel Stabilizer for winter storage in their Bike ?
I was looking to purchase this one:
PRI-G Gas Treatment 1 Qt. | BatteryStuff.com
I like to treat my Bike with Top Shelf juice but, The smallest quantity they sell is A quart, Which treats 512 gal.. I just want to treat 5 gal., Hell, That would last me for over 100 years. Should I just order it and leave the rest to my heirs?
Thanks

Sea foam, one ounce treats one gallon. Use the rest in the spring. $9 a quart

+1 for the Seafoam. Available at your local auto parts store. Not that I store my bike for the winter, that's the best time to ride around here.

I'll second the advice to use SeaFoam. It's great stuff. Just make sure that you get it mixed in well in the gas. Slosh it around, then run the bike long enough for it to get into the fuel injectors or the carburetor.

If you don't have to deal with frozen precipitation on the roads, get some Harley or Gerbing heated liners and gloves then you can ride all year long. A good windshield doesn't hurt either.

Stabil works fine but the SeaFoam not only stabilizes it is a great fuel system cleaner. Two for the price of one ;- )

Have heard some not so good stuff about Stabil. It gums up as well.

At least 93+ octane will not break down near as fast as lower octanes.

As a matter of fact, 1/2 gallon of race gas (100 octane) to a full tank is your best bet.

Or, if you want to be technical.....

For short term storage, turn off petcock with bike running until it runs out of fuel.

I would say it would be worth it to pull the bowl drain at the bottom to be even more thorough.

Either way, get the carb dry and keep it dry.

DON'T go out monthly and start the bike either.

Tons of moisture in the air during winter months and typically the bike does not run long enough to burn the moisture out of the engine which can potentially open up a whole new can of worms.
