September 11th Memorial Ride Backlash...Unbelievable
You guys have to check out this thread on the V-Twin Forum:

I tried to copy it here but it was too long and the Forum wouldn't accept it. In that this happened in my 'backyard' I responded by writing to the City Manager Ms Keane. Although there is definitely some fault on the 911 Ride side what the hell is this City Managers probem? Afraid she is opening up 'pandoras box' on the Red Light Camera ticket issue which she mentions in one of her emails I guess, in addition to being a cenacle bitch. What do you think?

He did nothing she asked, dodged the problem, pounded his chest when the entire issue had NOTHING to do with the ride or what it stood for and then he resorted to name calling.
Kind of takes all the steam out of his argument and gives her the upper hand.....IMO

That b-itch has got to be related to Nancy Pelosi and Hilary ---- Unbelievable. I read the e-mail traffic and to me Gary was very proffesional and polite in his dialect unlike City Manager Ms Keane. She should be tied up and horse whiped at the next city council meeting.

I read the entire post yesterday on the other forum. I really didn't come away with the conclusion you came to. All she wanted was the name. He doesn't know it. Then she threatened him, contacted his employer, a no no.
Seems she is playing into a law suit. He is talking family distress etc. She is in trouble. It has nothing to do with the ride but everything to do with here actions in response. Just MO |

You really think he should write an apology, avoid the city, and be done with it?
I hardly think so.. how can someone gain so much control that they wont let people ride through their city.. especially for a good cause.
That is exactly what is wrong with our country now.. you sit back and run back to your corner and avoid them.. all along they expand their area of control.
That's exactly how we have these f**king morons in the white house right now.. started out as a lawyer, then a "community organizer" for the "poor" in Chicago and now they lead our country.
You keep allowing this kind of crazy thinking people to run over your toes.. but when they try to run over mine, I'm gonna drag em out of the car and whoop their ass. The buck stops here, buddy..

I read it. I think she was probably abused on a motorcycle.
I don't participate in blocking intersections, (in everyday riding) because I think it gives the "cages" something else to hate us for.
BUT, I think this was an organized event, and the guy contacted them ahead of schedule so there shouldn't have been a problem.
They could have sent Barney out with their one police car to let them through for the whole 5 minutes it would have taken.
I think she is just wanting to be a b**ch, and throw her weight around in a one horse town. Or in this case a one police car town.
