"Fogging oil" is a thin, but high film-strength rated oil that's sprayed in the intake of the vehicle, as you turn the engine over, with the igniton OFF, to be sucked into the intake and cylinders, coating them, protecting them from elements and corrosives.
It's sold by various companies, like Amsoil, Stabil, etc.
I've only ever seen it used in Airplane engines, where the plane sits over a winter, outside in a field, Marine applications (corrosive salt water) and in Nitro powered RC cars, as Nitro is corrosive by nature and Ph increases after being burned.
