I am not a windshield guy either but when the bugs become unbearable here I do put it on. Quick release is the greatest thing.

Not sure if Carlini is set for 2009 throttle by wire combined with heated grips all internally wired but after I ordered WildOnes, I did not dare to ask. ABS was another chore to get done. But it was all worth it at the end. I know now I will always have apes on my bike. The clean tall look is awesome.

If I had another harley, it would have Carlini apes on it

That was a whole nother issue!! Bars are designed for throttle by wire, but w/ all the stock wiring & cruise control it was tight & getting the throttle in place was a biatch mechanic said. I always go 1 1/2" w/ Carlini, but set up would of been another $600 for risers & clamp, not worth it for 1/4, Alot more going on w/ that $

yeah, forgot cruise control too. My mech jammed all in and it took him days to figure it out. Harley dealers did not want to attempt the work on 16" 1"1/4 bars however, they ended up giving advice to my mech as apparently, all is possible - and it was. THe mech screwed himself estimated the work and I did not complain when he asked a mere $200 more than estimate. He desreved a grand more and I made sure I left him a nice tip. The bars needed to be specially designed for 2009s+
