IPOD or MP3 player

Hi everyone.

I am thinking about using an IPOD or an MP3 player to listen to music while riding. Looking for suggestions about what the best way to do this is. I really don't want to wear ear buds while riding. I have a 2009 Harley Fat Bob. Let the sugggestions fly.

Gordon.

I personally prefer the sound of the exhaust but to each his own I suppose.............

I have some friends with SG's so they have the radios and they seem to often get distracted while listening to their radios, so I will stick with the sounds of the exhaust.

Riding with tunes on a bike is like riding in the cage - just don't get so distracted to lose track of priority ONE - the ride.

If you wear a helmet, there are helmet speakers you can mount in the helmet. Otherwise you mount additional pieces to the bike. For me, I bought the Ultra so that I just plugged in the iPod and turned up the speakers so that I can share with others more than just the exhaust. Consider that when I ride with my shorty lid I also wear earplugs, the speed controlled volume is well used.

Good Luck

I ride with earbud style headphones in my full face helmet. I usually use my iPhone for music. If I get a call I can simply pull over and answer it w/o removing my helmet. When I'm out cruising I usually don't listen to music but on my commute to work I usually do. The ear buds also reduce noise allot. If I'm not listening to music then I usually use ear plugs.

I LOVE listening to my tunes and singing my heart out as I ride... (apparently when a person has earbuds in n singing, they dont sound as good as they think they do.) DOH!!! But thats another story...
Anyway, I have a couple different mp3's and one of em has sirus satilite (how the heck do you spell that????) But with sirus, I can listen to music I have downloaded or turn it over to the radio and have tons of stations and listen to what I am in the mood for!!! Way cool...

I am working on a piece to stream bluetooth to the amp system but the battery may not last as long as most people need. i have ipod cables that can be hard wired for audio and charging. thats usually how i install them.
