Closing a chapter

Tomorrow evening I will be selling my sportster to build cash to pay for the house I am having built for my family. This will be a bittersweet moment as one chapter ends while another begins. I haven't owned my own home for nearly 25 years so I am looking forward to planting roots. It is our plan that one year from now I will be able to get another Harley. I won't have a bunch of money but I intend to move up a step. My plan is something like a street bob but we will see.
Thanks for all the help, advise, entertainment and prayers when needed. I will be watching from the sidelines but hope to ride again next year.
May God bless you all and ride safe.

Mike, we don't know one another but I wish you and yours all the best! And like you said, it has to be bittersweet but on the other hand, you're fulfilling another dream by putting down some roots. Whenever you get back on the road will be the perfect time. But for the time being, congratulations and the best to you and yours! - Murph

Congrats on getting your own home. And I hope things work out so you can get another Harley down the road.

Best of luck. Hope you are back on the road in a year. Take care of your family and the rest will fall into place.

Like Peanut said, take care of the important things and the rest will fall into place. And, like T~S said, you can stick around, contribute, and be in a better place to make a decision when you're ready to buy another one.

Wish you the best!

Good luck and last time I moved was kinda same thing. I had accumulated lots of goodies and toys over the years and wouldn't you know it..A good deal on a house popped up few miles away and in order for me to really make it easy I sold a lot of stuff.
It was worth it.. wife loves new place.

Old Biker told me once..Its doesn't matter how many brain cells you kill, but how many you had to begin with ?

Home ownership is always at the top of priorities. Congratulations! I hope in a year or so you'll have a Harley sitting you in your garage. Good luck!
