Picked her up from dealership after having Yaffe 12" MBBs installed, perfect height at shoulder but completely different feel than stock bars (and in a good way). Unfortunately, bikes going back after realizing left turn signal not functioning properly on way home, i.e. left signal stays illuminated on dash, rear signal flashing at warp speed and front, just a flicker from filament.

Just don't make left turns. Don't you realize that three rights make a left? It'll get you some extra riding in wherever you go.

I spent $15 on a shifter linkage last night. Mine came apart going thru DFW on the way home. Believe it or not, I was able to duct tape it in place and get home. I stopped at American Motorcycle Trading Company near the house and they sold me a used one for $15. Took 15 minutes to swap out. The joys of riding a 15 yr. old bike. Easy, cheap and back on the rode. No issues this morning. Crisp 60 degrees. Should be mid to upper 80's going home.

Well didn't think I was going to do too much as my normal riding buddy had a Auto Accident and trashed his pickup. Didn't figure he wanted to ride any so I zipped over to my dealer's to check on some parts I ordered (knew they wouldn't be in).
Sat around there for about an hour and a half yakking with some guys from up North one of which had just traded in his bike for a RK and was waiting for them to roll it out.
Ended up putting 82 miles on mine tagging along with them after the delivery before heading home.

I love a bonus ride that you didn't expect. 82 miles of pleasure, 57. Good for you.

I wondered how I'm going to maintain a reasonable level of sanity this long, cold winter.

The forum helps a little, so at least we can talk bikes. But last winter I finally gave up, broke out the long johns and rode.
I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.
