I rode today. Close to 70 degrees in December...gotta love that global warming...

installed new tallboy seat and 3 pouch fairing mount

I honed that cylinders, installed new rings, and reinstalled the cylinders and heads with new base and head gaskets! I pulled the old inner cam bearing and installed a new one. I need to get the appropriate shims so I can install the new EV27 cam, tappets and pushrods. I can almost hear it running!

Rode to a gun shop in Vallejo. 224 miles round trip. Started out cold...just north of 40*F and foggy as hell. Got there at just before 11am. The place is guarded like Fort Knox: Outter door get's buzzed in. Inner cage with electronic door...get buzzed in...security guard by the door. The place is small but they've got lots of guns and good stuff too.

Couldn't afford the gun I really wanted. Couldn't talk the sales manager into getting his price into my comfort zone. I did find another AR I liked though and the price was in the zone. Couldn't bring it home today cuz of Kommiefornikstan's rediculous 10 day waiting period . I'll have to make the trip again on Tuesday the 18th.

The ride back was a little warmer though.

Put the Power Commander tray on (I gotta post pictures of this cluster) and replaced the rear brake light switch. Then a very short ride.

Made a cheap motorcycle lift to raise the rear of my '97 Softail Custom I recently purchased so I could access the wiring for the rear turn signals.

The original owner relocated them years ago so he could add saddlebags. Well I do not want saddlebags or the brackets so I moved the rear turn signals back to where they were from the factory. Pics of lift:

Going to get out and clean off a ton of bugs that I collected this weekend on a trip to Arkanasas to the Talimena Drive...great weather,and great ride.....

30,000 of my close friends and I went for a ride today. The annual Toys in the Sun Run was today. Absolutely beatiful day for a great cause.
