Fix'in to ride out on a PGR Mission this afternoon. It will be about a 175 mile round trip. Weather is excellent with high blue sky and temps hitting somewhere in the seventies. Glad I cleaned up the ole Harley gal a few days ago.......now she can show-off those shiny pipes.

Getting ready to head to Vallejo, CA to pick up my, as Dianne "Frankenstein" Feinstein so affectionately calls, weapon of war. The mandatory 10 waiting period is up and I'm picking up my Sig 716 today .
Unfortunately I have to take the cage...can't fit that big box on the bike .

A nice, brisk ride to the dealership where she sleeps until March-April (unless we have another winter like the last but I'm not betting on it).

Installed new battery in my '97 FXSTC. The one I took out was HD and had been in there 5 years to the month. So guess what kind I put back in it? You guessed it, another HD. BTW, the battery was still working, I just didn't want to get out somewhere and have it die on me.

What a difference a day makes. 80 degrees on the ride home last night. 38 and wind gusts up to 50mph this morning. Almost took the cage. Tomorrow morning might be 29.... that would be cage weather.

I know. Went to bed and it was blazing outside for December. Wake up chilly and wondering if I hold my arms out while riding against the wind if I can fly Haha. Still gonna ride though. Should be decent for the trip home.

Haven't "done" it yet, but just received these chrome lower legs for my FXSTC. Will get them on after the holidays.
They came from Willy Shiney!

I was having all kinds of electrical issues, so last week I ordered a new ignition switch and last night I started tearing out wires.
The bike is 31 years old, with God only knows how many owners and "Mechanics" working on it. I had one wire that had 4 splices in a 10" run. Another had a foot of slack coiled up.
This may turn ugly.
