Do not put your Gremlin Bell on

with the ring that comes with it !!!!

I lost my bell and after receiving a new one today from a Brother I deduced that the ring caused the loop on the top of the bell to wear through, The ring has a joint along the circle that must rub on the loop . I put my new one on with a tie wrap.

I did this.

Took a narrow wire tie and cinched it down on the soft bell loop. That way the tie takes the rubbing and not the soft bell loop. Been using it for almost five years like that.

Just a FWIW on tie wraps. Not all are created equal.
They can become brittle and eventually break.

The ride bell I was given is brass. It is now starting on it`s third bike.
Have always used a heavy ball/dog tag type chain.

Thanks to an HDF Member. It now hangs from one of these.
