Bought a used Street bob, got questions...

Long time lurker, but haven't posted a lot. This past weekend I traded for a "used" 2016 Street Bob with only 336 miles on it. A lady bought it new, got sick, couldn't ride and asked the dealership to sell it for her. I looked at it a couple times last fall, but couldn't commit. Saturday the wife and I stopped in and she twisted my arm till I agreed to test ride it. Since the price had dropped considerably, I traded for it.

The original owner had the dealer install V&H short shots, SE Air Cleaner, and SE Super Tuner. The bike feels strong and sounds good at idle and at speed, but has a decent amount of decel pop.

Should the SE Super Tuner, if adjusted properly, eliminate the decal pop? I don't have experience with these, only FuelPak 2 and 3. As I understand it, the dealer has to connect and adjust the SE tuner right?

Lastly, any recommendations on a tag relocation? The factory holder sticks way out and looks like crap.

I removed the highway bars, reflectors and tank badges.

Still looking for guidance on the SE Super Tuner / popping issue before I get impatient and spend 400.00 on a FP3. Thanks!

If its running good I would spend $12. on new exshaust gaskets, shop probably reused the old ones, that's what happened to mine cheap fix.

Nice looking bike. Congratulations.

Your gonna get some( a little) decel popping on that even when set up correctly. Those pipes are pretty short. Do you have baffles in them. As someone else said, make sure your not getting air leaks from the manifold gaskets. I'm sure there are others on here that can jump in. But that's been my experience. My Big Dog pops all the time, and its tuned, with a new Super G carb.

Check exhaust head gaskets, my front one worked loose once. Factory in a hurry, never did it again.

Still has exhaust gaskets though. I have V&H pipes too, kind of a PITA since stock conical gaskets are too thick and the flat gaskets are so thin theyre hard to keep seated. I just keep my exhaust studs tight, check them fairly often.
